Tessitori are an award-winning viola-guitar duo who bring new repertoire to this unusual combination of instruments, refreshing well-loved standards of the classical repertoire with their own innovative arrangements to offer a different perspective on the works of great composers. After meeting as students at the Royal Academy of Music, London, Tessitori now enjoy a busy performance schedule across Europe. Their first album together was released in 2014 to critical acclaim. In addition to new versions of works by Spanish composers Albéniz and Granados, the duo will also present an original work by Portuguese composer João Loureiro.
