Winner of several international music competitions and a finalist at the Concours International de Piano d’Ile de France, Catalan pianist Maria Canyigueral pays homage to the centenary of composer Enrique Granados with a programme of contemporary Spanish piano music, including the UK premiere of a new work by Benet Casablancas inspired by Granados, Dues pàgines per Granados, as well as Granados' own Allegro de concierto Op. 46. A specialist in Catalan repertoire, her recording of Granados' Violin Sonata featuring violinist Lana Trotovsek was recently released on Hedone Records.
